Jemma and Mike live in the UK and chose Hôtel La Maison des Oliviers for their Indian wedding in Marrakech. Their families came together for one day of celebrations: preparations, a first look in the courtyard, a garden ceremony, then dinner and dancing into the night.

Getting ready

Mike gets ready with his friends while Jemma finishes dressing. Her red and gold outfit hangs by the window; jewellery, shoes and the last adjustments fill the rooms. Outside, the hotel’s courtyards and gardens are already set for the day.

The first look

Jemma walks along the lantern-lined passage towards Mike. A hand on his shoulder, a turn, then the two of them smiling together in the courtyard. There is time for a few portraits before they join their guests.

In the garden

Music accompanies the arrivals. Beneath the red flowers, Jemma and Mike exchange garlands and share the ceremony with their families around them. Hands meet, readings are heard and smiles pass between the couple and their guests. Afterwards come the embraces.

Portraits and cocktails

Guests gather for drinks while Jemma and Mike spend a little time among the arches and courtyards. Later, Jemma changes into a white dress. Their entrance brings them back to their friends with raised arms, music and dancing.

Cake and dinner

The cake arrives as guests lift their sparklers. Jemma and Mike cut it together, then the evening continues around tables of red and orange flowers. Speeches bring laughter and a few close embraces; outside, the lights reflect in the pool.

On the dance floor

A few portraits after dark, then back to the party. Jemma and Mike take to the dance floor before their friends join them. Away from the music and laughter, the hotel’s courtyards are quiet again.
