Wedding & Engagement Photography at The Oberoi Marrakech
I’ve photographed two moments at The Oberoi — a surprise proposal and a pre-wedding session. Here’s what actually happens when you shoot there.
Why Couples Choose The Oberoi
The Oberoi combines traditional Moroccan tile work with wide terraces, garden landscaping, and water features — a mix of detailed, textured surfaces and open space in the same property. That combination gives a proposal or a pre-wedding session more than one kind of backdrop without having to change location.
What It’s Like to Photograph Here
The property has real depth — enough distance across the terraces and gardens to shoot from far away without being obvious. That mattered directly for Ankit’s proposal, since Rachel couldn’t know I was there.
Real Celebrations at The Oberoi

Ankit & Rachel — A Proposal
Ankit planned his proposal to Rachel here in secret. I stayed discreetly at a distance, capturing the moment without Rachel knowing I was there — the property’s open space is what made that possible.

Kinner & Jujhar — A Pre-Wedding Session
Kinner and Jujhar’s session used the property’s mix of traditional design and modern lines as a backdrop — his suit and her dress created a strong visual contrast against the tile work and carved details.

Both sessions here were arranged directly by the couple through the hotel — I don’t manage venue access. If The Oberoi is on your shortlist, loop me in once you have a window, and I’ll build the shoot around whatever time you’re given. It’s the same approach I use for any wedding or engagement session in Marrakech.
