Andy and Pink’s desert story moves from a canvas camp to the open dunes of Merzouga. Barefoot portraits, a proposal on the sand and a playful walk through the Sahara form this two-part photographic reportage by Adil Youri. White outfits, a loose bouquet and the wind in Pink’s dress carry the story from one image to the next.
From the desert camp to barefoot portraits
The first photographs show the tents, shaded seating and rugs at the camp before Andy and Pink head out together. In the dunes, Andy wears a white jacket and shorts while Pink carries a bouquet of white flowers and greenery. They walk hand in hand, stop for close portraits and laugh as Andy lifts Pink into his arms. A sun hat and a few quiet embraces bring a different rhythm to this opening sequence.
A proposal and a walk through the Merzouga dunes
Andy kneels on the sand, and Pink’s expression shifts from surprise to laughter. The photographs follow the ring onto her finger, then draw closer to their smiles and joined hands. Afterwards, the dunes take up more of the frame as they walk along the ridges and sit together on the sand. The final moments are playful: a lift, a kiss and handfuls of sand thrown into the air.
