Federica & Matteo | Engagement in Marrakech and Agafay

Federica and Matteo’s engagement session in Marrakech moved between two very different settings: the close streets of the medina and the open hills of the Agafay Desert. White outfits among the market stalls, a pause for tea, then a drive out of the city and portraits beneath a changing sky.

Through the Marrakech medina

In the souks, there was always something happening around them. A cyclist passed in front of a shop, sunlight filtered through the covered lanes, and colourful rugs hung above the stalls. Federica and Matteo walked together, stopped beside a carved door and shared a few laughs on a parked motorbike.

The quieter portraits came in the shaded passages: a hand on a shoulder, a close embrace, the two of them looking at each other. We finished this part with tea and a view over the busy square.

Into the Agafay Desert

The drive into Agafay became part of the story, with a reflection in the car mirror before the first wide view of the hills. Here the photographs opened out: Federica and Matteo holding hands against the horizon, with room for the landscape around them.

Federica changed from a pale dress to blue, then into a patterned dress for the evening portraits. They walked, laughed and held one another as the wind moved her hair. The session ended with an embrace beneath the clouds and one last view of the desert.
