Sara and Daniel beside the garden arches at Palais Namaskar in Marrakech on their wedding day

Sara & Daniel | A Jewish Wedding at Palais Namaskar

Sara and Daniel’s Jewish wedding at Palais Namaskar in Marrakech unfolds across a welcome and henna evening, preparations in the gardens, a ceremony beside the water and a night of dancing. This photo story follows the celebration from their first portraits to the reflections of the illuminated palace.

Welcome and henna evening

The first evening begins in the gardens of Palais Namaskar. After Sara gets ready, the couple meet for portraits beside the pools and arches. Guests gather in the courtyard among lanterns and garden seating. As night falls, gift baskets circulate, Sara and Daniel arrive in decorated seats carried above the guests, and the dancing continues under coloured lights.

Preparations and first look in the gardens

Letters, rings and the lace of Sara’s dress open the wedding day at Palais Namaskar. In separate rooms, Sara and Daniel get ready with the people around them, before meeting on a palm-lined garden path. Their portraits move between flowering arches, pink walls and the walkways across the pools, with time for a few quiet moments before the ceremony.

A Jewish wedding ceremony beside the water

White flowers frame the chuppah beside the pools. Guests take their seats as the wedding procession crosses the garden and Sara joins Daniel beneath the floral canopy. The photographs follow their faces, hands and the reactions around them, through the ring exchange and the kiss at the end of the ceremony. The couple stay beside the water for portraits in the late-afternoon light.

Dinner and dancing under the palms

As the sun sets, lanterns lead the way to the reception and red flowers run along the candlelit tables. Sara and Daniel enter the garden to meet their guests, and the dance floor quickly fills. Their first dance, the saxophone, a change of dress and the wedding cake punctuate the evening. The final photographs return to the illuminated arches and reflections across the water.
