Naomie & Fairy | Nigerian Wedding at Dar Sabra, Marrakech

Naomie and Fairy celebrated their Nigerian wedding at Dar Sabra in Marrakech. The venue’s sculptures, olive trees and colourful walls appear throughout their photographs, from the morning preparations to portraits on the roof and the party beside the pool. This reportage follows the day in three chapters.

Preparations and portraits at Dar Sabra

The morning brought gifts, time with friends and the final touches to Naomie’s dress. Fairy chose a white dinner jacket with black trousers, while Naomie wore a strapless white gown and a long veil. Their separate portraits moved between the garden, the red staircase and the venue’s large painted faces. Outside, dried flowers and cactus details were being arranged for the ceremony and reception.

A garden ceremony and portraits around the venue

Guests gathered in front of the dried-flower arch as Naomie arrived with her bouquet and veil. Readings, vows and the exchange of rings led to a kiss and a dancing exit down the aisle. The couple then joined their guests for group photographs before taking portraits by the carved wooden door, the colourful walls and the garden sculptures. Their entrance to the reception brought everyone onto the dance floor; later, they slipped away for portraits on the roof in the evening light.

Dinner, dancing and a fire show beside the pool

Speeches and toasts continued around the dinner tables before the chair game and Naomie and Fairy’s first dance. They cut their white wedding cake, decorated with their initials, and the bouquet toss drew guests back onto the dance floor. Naomie later changed into a white halter-neck dress as the party continued. A fire show lit the poolside, and the last portraits caught the couple on the bridge after dark.
