Suki & Brandon | Agafay Welcome Dinner and Marrakech Wedding

White tents and low desert hills framed the welcome at Scarabeo Camp. Suki, in a white ruffled dress, greeted friends over drinks while Moroccan musicians played beneath the canopy. Some guests arrived back from a camel ride; others gathered around the snake handlers’ show. There was time to catch up before the wedding day.

As the light faded, small flames marked the paths between the tents. Everyone settled around the candlelit dinner table for food, laughter and speeches. Outside, the camp glowed against the dark hills.

The following day began at a villa on the road to Lalla Takerkoust. Suki’s dress hung from a carved wooden door, with her blue-green shoes waiting below. Inside, her friends helped with the final touches. Brandon was getting ready with his own friends nearby, between a drink, a laugh and the last adjustments to their bow ties.

Before the ceremony, Suki stepped into the courtyard to see her father. She lifted her bouquet and laughed; he smiled back, visibly moved. She straightened his bow tie before they made their way towards the garden.

Brandon walked down the red-carpet aisle first. Suki followed on her father’s arm, past the guests seated beneath the trees. Under a circular arch of white flowers, they exchanged vows and rings, with their friends watching from just a few steps away.

Their walk back down the aisle brought a shower of petals and a pause for a kiss. Before the cocktail, I brought everyone together for a group photograph in the garden.

The champagne tower soon had everyone gathered around it. Suki and Brandon poured with their guests as the coupes filled and spilled over. Outside, Gnawa musicians played beneath a palm tree, inviting friends to join in with decorated hats and plenty of laughter.

We slipped away for portraits beside the pool in the evening light. Around us, the terracotta walls, palms and open garden still held the last of the day, while preparations for dinner continued under the trees.

Suki changed into a champagne-coloured dress for dinner. A long table stretched beneath hanging lanterns, its candles lighting the glasses and handwritten place cards. The speeches moved between laughter and quieter moments; friends leaned across the table, raised their glasses and wiped away a few tears.

Moroccan dancing brought guests out of their seats before the wedding cake and a fire show on the terrace. Then Suki and Brandon had the floor to themselves for their first dance beside the pool. Their friends soon joined them, and the party continued under red and blue lights.
