Agafay gives a kind of open space no riad or hotel garden can match: uninterrupted horizon in every direction, a single dinner table under open sky, a couple standing small against the immensity of the landscape. I use that scale deliberately — wide shots that make the desert itself part of the story, not just a backdrop, alongside closer moments that show what it feels like to be that far from anywhere else.

Suki and Brandon welcomed their guests at Scarabeo Camp in Agafay. Tea, musicians and camel rides led into dinner and toasts beneath the tent. Their wedding ceremony and villa celebration followed outside Marrakech the next day.

How should we plan travel to the camp?
Use the exact camp location when planning the journey. Confirm the route, vehicle access and transfer time with the camp or your planner, then include those timings in the photography schedule.
When should we schedule portraits?
We discuss the portrait time alongside the ceremony, dinner and available light. Casandra and Matt’s photographs show one approach, following the paths around the camp as the afternoon moves into twilight.
What should we confirm with the camp?
Confirm access to the spaces you have booked, the event schedule and the arrangements if conditions change. We can then prepare the photography route and allow time for moving between locations.
